Sonny Sixkiller is a former American football quarterback who played college football at the University of Washington and professionally in the Canadian Football League. He is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in Washington Huskies history, known for his strong arm, accuracy, and playmaking abilities.
Sixkiller earned All-American honors in 1970 and was inducted into the University of Washington Hall of Fame in 1978. He also holds several University of Washington football records, including the most yards passing in a game (534) and the most career touchdown passes (44).
After his collegiate career, Sixkiller played in the CFL for the Ottawa Rough Riders and the Toronto Argonauts. He also briefly played in the World Football League for the Hawaiians.
Sixkiller remains a beloved figure in Washington football history and is known for his charismatic personality both on and off the field. He continues to be involved in football as a speaker and mentor to aspiring young athletes.
